**Provide** **legal advice and transactional support within the US Commercial Contracting Organization to a broad range of Medtronic business clients that are seeking to acquire goods and services from suppliers, and to coordinate the delivery of these transactional services with cross-functional and subject matter experts within Medtronic.**

**This position reports to the Legal Director, Technology and Data Analytics, US Commercial Contracting Organization.**

**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

+ **Analyze, draft and negotiate commercial contracts with suppliers for a broad variety of goods and services, including software licensing and services, cloud hosted solutions, professional services, licenses, real estate, construction, facilities, energy.**

+ **Demonstrated ability and experience addressing issues related to data privacy and securityboth US and OUS, structuring and negotiating master commercial agreements across a global matrixed organization, including coordination with Security, Privacy, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality, Federal Contracts and Trade Compliance.**

+ **Advise** **and** **counsel** **business** **clients** **on** **legal** **issues.**

+ **Work** **collaboratively** **with** **other** **lawyers,** **paralegals and administrative** **staff** **to** **provide** **the** **legal** **support** **for** **the** **areas** **described** **above.**

+ **Collaborate** **with** **legal staff** **in** **multiple** **legal workstreams** **to** **develop** **and** **implement** **common** **approaches and templates.**

+ **Participate in other projects as needed.**

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ **JD from a nationally recognized law school**

+ **Licensed to practice in at least one US state or the District of Columbia**

+ **5+** **years of** **experience drafting and negotiating contracts as a practicing attorney**

**Nice to Have**

+ **Experience negotiating sourcing-supply contracts**

+ **Experience working with information technology supplier agreements**

+ **Experience in licensing**

+ **Strong** **academic** **credentials**

+ **Experience** **at** **a** **law** **firm** **and/or** **in-house**

+ **Analytical** **risk** **identification,** **evaluation,** **and** **management** **skills**
