**Principal Global Healthcare Economics, Policy Reimbursement (HEPR) Analyst**


TheMITG Respiratory, Gastrointestinal and Informatics ( (RGI)business and its portfolio are expanding into innovative spaces including telemedicine, AI artificial intelligence, GI stents advanced surgical techniques, airway management, MI ventilation, patient monitoring, ablation, surgical diagnostic imaging.

Using experience, ingenuity and innovation, the **Principal, Global Health Economics, Policy Reimbursement** is responsible for providing leadership in the development, planning and execution of reimbursement and health economics strategies for targeted RGI businesses. Key areas of focus will be products in the pipeline, currently on the market, evaluated in business development due diligence, licensing and acquisitions.


Under the direction of the Global Senior Director, Health Economics, Policy Reimbursement, MITG - RGI, this role will lead the charge in developing and disseminating tools while leveraging best practice sharing across targeted regions. The focus areas of contribution are reimbursement strategy and optimization, global value dossier development, literature reviews, policy analysis, health economic research modeling targeted for publication and internal valuation.This position will be expected to provide input into product lifecycle value proposition development including analysis of regional evidence requirements, articulation of the reimbursement landscape and support of regional plans that reflect the global payer and stakeholder needs on economic value.


This position may be available at the Senior Consultant level for candidates who qualify.


Additionally, this role can be remote.


**A Day In The Life**


+ Lead the assessment, development and execution of US reimbursement strategies including CPT code submissions and tactics for MITG RGI Gastrointestinal Hepatology (GIH) Pillcam business

+ Ensure appropriate reimbursement, health economics and policy analyses and perspectives are integrated into business plans

+ Identify and communicate evidence requirements to optimize the global reimbursement landscape through creation of economic evidence strategies to support study and trial designs

+ Collate and summarize existing clinical and economic evidence to support value positioning

+ Support the development of global value dossiers for government agency submissions, health technology assessment (HTA) and to underpin product value positioning

+ Collaborate with regional HEPR country-level teams enabling customized reimbursement strategies aligned with product lifecycle position and business priorities

+ Integrates cross-functionally with global and regional stakeholders including Medical Affairs Clinical, Commercial, Legal, Product Development, Corporate and Global HEPR to drive reimbursement optimization

+ Monitors regional policy issues and conducts risk analysis in targeted RGI businesses; including comment submissions in collaboration with RGI HEPR and Corporate MITG Health Policy

+ Develop economic research for external publications (ex. claims databases) centered on value

+ Collaborates with RGI HEPR team members in VBHC program management, governance and innovation

+ Responsible for annual objective setting and quarterly business review updates specific to reimbursement and economic deliverables for targeted MITG RGI businesses

+ Provide HEPR training and education programs to internal teams and may also engage externally with MDT Field teams, Physicians, Hospital Administration and Payer stakeholders

+ Develops strategic relationships with professional societies, medical associations, advocacy groups, thought leaders to provide leadership and focus in areas of mutual interest including physician reimbursement, treatment guidelines, coding, coverage and payment.


**Must Have; Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors degree

+ Minimum 7 years experience in reimbursement, market access, health economics or medical device

+ Oradvanced degree with a minimum of 5 yearsexperience in reimbursement, market access, health economics or medical device


**Nice To Have**


+ Masters degree in health policy, business administration, public administration or a related discipline

+ Knowledge of medical device lines (diagnostics/therapeutics/monitoring) including related HEPR dynamics and anticipated impact on product life cycle and commercialization

+ Ability to give best in class reimbursement advice to business unit Medical Affairs, Commercial and Development teams, either directly or by leveraging external expertise through consultants

+ Experience designing and supporting device value propositions targeted towards payers and providers

+ 1-3 years of global experience collaborating with local market access teams, payers, providers

+ Clear understanding of Commercial functional process incentives or direct experience

+ Able to apply strong analytical skills to a variety of situations of varying ambiguity

+ Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization including Director-level teams

+ Project leadership experience leading cross-functional teams and through consultants

+ Experience with Microsoft suite of products with an emphasis on PowerPoint, Excel, Word

+ Novice to Intermediate modeling (ex. Excel) experience

+ Able to work independently

+ Experience working in a an early-stage or fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

+ Experience reviewing HTAs, coverage policies, payment regulations and interpreting business impact

+ Ability to forge alliances and stay connected with business unit partners on a day-to-day basis

+ Must be self-motivated with effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration amongst businesses and to direct and motivate others.
