This position is responsible for accounting and reporting processes in the Americas Group. The position requires the ability to work independently and interact effectively with finance and business personnel across the organization. This position will report to the Americas Supply Chain Controller.

**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Partner with the Americas Supply Chain organization to provide enhanced financial reporting analysis and process regarding inventory, freight, distribution expenses and other supply chain related financial analysis

Lead Finance processes related to the management and reconciliation of several balance sheet accounts and their related activity including inventory, scrap/obsolescence, and other inventory related accounting. Serve as the subject matter expert on the activity and processes related to these accounts. Tasks include the following:

+ Review the balance sheet account monthly and determine if activity is consistent with Finance policy and accurately represented

+ Lead communication and resolution of issues on a timely basis

+ Provide reporting and analysis on account monthly

Ensure strong financial and operational controls exist within the Americas supply chain organization

Provide support and analysis for Supply Chain Team across the Americas

+ Build business relationships with Finance and business partners to enable information gathering to assess and apply the appropriate accounting for recurring and one-time transactions

+ Articulate the impact of accounting on the financial statements

+ Provide periodic reporting to senior management when required

Perform other Finance tasks which may include the following:

+ Month-end activities including creating and posting journal entries

+ Analyzing financial data

+ Planning and forecasting duties as assigned

+ Special projects as assigned

Review business processes, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control, and work with manager to implement any changes

Other ad-hoc support in SAP, SPEND, Hyperion and Excel as needed

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors Degree

+ Minimum 7 years finance or accounting experience with a bachelors degree; or, advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years finance or accounting experience

**Nice to Have**

+ CPA preferred

+ BA/BS in Accounting or Finance

+ Experience with Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP and Hyperion

+ Solid accounting (U.S. GAAP), finance and financial controls knowledge

+ Ability to operate within a fast-paced, matrix organization and various levels of management

+ Strong ability to work in financial/reporting systems (SAP, Hyperion Essbase Applications)

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously

+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

+ High integrity and self-confidence

+ Experience with business partnering

+ Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

+ Strong organization and prioritization skills

+ High degree of initiative and self-motivation

+ Ability to manage and manipulate data to develop financial analysis
