About the Role:
The Twitch Video Ingest team develops systems and services that acquire live streams from the community of Twitch broadcasters, perform real-time processing (e.g., video trans-coding), and makes them available for world-wide distribution at scale. As the use of our platform increases world-wide, we have a need to enhance our platform to offer new live video experiences.

You are a video transport and processing systems expert who will help us develop our low latency video platform improving such live and interactive experiences. You will report to the Director of Engineering, Video Ingest. You can be located in the San Francisco bay area, California; Seattle, Washington; New York, NY; and Salt Lake City, Utah; or remote, USA.

You Will:
¢ develop video transport and video transcoding solutions to improve end-to-end latency of the Twitch video platform data plane
¢ develop new system architectures to decrease per-stream video processing and transport costs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

You Have:
¢ BS degree in Computer Science or related field
¢ 7+ years of experience working with large-scale video processing and streaming systems
¢ 7+ years of experience developing and deploying Internet transport solutions including for video applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

¢ Knowledge of inner workings of video codecs including H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1
