We are seeking an experienced engineer to assume a key role within the Power Products Section of the Antenna Core Products Department based in Dallas, Texas, but the position will be to staff a growth need in our group in McKinney, Texas. Job Description: Design power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard power conversion topologies (non-isolated and isolated). Architect system-level power schemes, from source generation to load. Utilize power conversion simulation programs like SIMPLIS/SABER to model converter design performance. Utilize analysis tools like MathCAD/MATLAB to assess electrical design robustness of power circuitry. Guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation. Perform high level thermal analyses of critical power components. Design power converters to meet a set of requirements, sometimes defining those requirements. Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule, and sometimes define the schedule. Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff. Act as a liaison between program and functional management. Required Skills: Must have professional design, analysis, and test experience with analog electronic design and analysis, including FET, BJT, and Op-amp circuits. Must have professional design, analysis, and test experience with linear converters, and any two of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost. Must also have design, analysis, and test experience with any two of the following isolated converter topologies: flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, push-pull. Must have experience with AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion, energy storage, and pulsed power. Must have professional experience with performing circuit card assembly-level power architecture trades, and with system-level power architecture trades. Must have professional experience using PSPICE (or similar), and other circuit simulation tools. Must have professional experience with analysis tools such as Mathcad. Must have professional experience with guiding ECAD folks through layout (power focus). Must have professional experience with thermal concerns of electronics. Must have professional experience with taking, analyzing, and correcting Bode plots. Must have minimum of 5 years experience leading a technical design team. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US-only data systems. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date Desired Skills: Specialization in Power Electronics Professional experience with digital power control. Professional experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and Hyperlynx. Professional experience with military specifications. Professional experience with transformer and inductor design considerations. Professional design experience with Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) concerns. Professional design experience with voltages > 400V. Professional design experience with power > 10 kW. Professional design experience with AC-DC power conversion and active PFC. Professional leadership experience. Professional experience with program management tools such as Earned Value. Professional experience with proposal development. Self-starter, a quick learner, and be able to function in a dynamic environment, and with good time management skills. Strong teaming skills, and good communication skills. Must be customer-focused. Required Education: Electrical Engineering Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University with 8+ years of experience BS and 8 years of experience, MS and 6 years of experience, PhD and 4 years of experience. Desired Education: Electrical Engineering Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University Electrical Engineering PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. 152693
