Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Sustainment Engineer to join our team in support of the U.S. Air Force North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) Sustained Support Contract (NISSC). NISSC will provide accurate, timely, and unambiguous warning and attack assessment of Air, Missile, and Space threats with daily visibility of National Command Authority leaders including the President of the United States. NCMC-ITW/AA is composed of Air, Missile, and Space Warning Missions located at Cheyenne Mountain AFS, Peterson AFB, Offutt AFB, Vandenberg AFB, and forward user and sensor sites worldwide.
This job opportunity is for a Principal Cybersecurity Sustainment Engineer position at Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS), Colorado Springs CO facility. RMF Practitioners are responsible for the execution of the Information Assurance program at the Colorado Springs facility as stipulated by various USG requirements documents including but not limited to NISPOM, and associated NIST documents. You will be responsible for day-to-day effective execution of the Information Assurance program to include (but not limited to):
Carry out information systems security assessments and analysis
Analyze Risk Management Framework (RMF) Packages, including POA&M, Functional Architecture Diagrams, and Certifying Authority
Applies knowledge and understanding of Information Assurance (IA) concepts, practices and procedures using established DOD, NIST, IC and Air Force policies and standards to document and minimize and/or mitigate RMF security risks
Review and comment on technical documentation to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
Guide projects and programs through successful assessment and authorization of systems components for Authority to Operate (ATO)
Provide IA and RMF services such as assessment and creation of System Categorization Memorandums, System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR) and associated Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M). Assess, prepare and/or update RMF policy, plans and procedures for each of the 18 control families
Assess RMF environment for NISSC systems of record and recommend/create RMF artifacts, to include MOUs and MOAs for offsite base/post/camp locations responsible for maintaining NISSC-covered systems
Assists with the assessment/generation of monthly Vulnerability Status Reports/Cybersecurity Verification Results as required

Required Skills:

**Current DoD 8570.1M IAT II/III compliant Professional Certification (e.g., Security+CE, CISSP) with at least one CE/OS certificate (UNIX, Linux, MS, etc.) is required. Please be prepared to provide proof of current certification at the time of submission.**
Must be a U.S. Citizen and in possession of an active Top Secret security clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS SCI Security Clearance
Past experience with management/maintenance of Risk Management Framework (RMF) security authorization packages and related artifacts, bodies of evidence
Experience supporting various computer hardware platforms and multiple operating systems in both stand alone and LAN/WAN configurations
Working knowledge of operating systems security features and settings (e.g. Windows, Unix, and Linux)
Proven ability to make sound decisions and implement all aspects of information systems security as it applies to DoD 8500, NIST 800 series regulations/instructions and CNSSI 1253
Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi-tasked environment
Demonstrated ability to act independently, prioritize tasks, and manage to schedule
Willingness to perform security tasks outside specialty (e.g. program security) and be proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio, etc.)
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written modes, and be able to author and present subject specific presentations. Comfortable with public speaking.
Must be willing and able to travel as required up to 10% of work schedule
Desired Skills:
Experience with JWICS
Experience with eMASS and XACTA.
Experience with various information system security assessment/hardening tools ACAS, DISA SRR, STIGs, etc.
Current Top Secret clearance or SCI access
Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision, customer service orientated
In-depth knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies and instructions

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Cyber Security or related field of study and 8 years of related experience

Or Associates Degree in related field and 10 additional years of related experience
Information Systems Security/Information Assurance, Systems Security Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of bachelors degree.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
