Postdoctoral Scientist - Dr. Chan - Cancer Institute

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
Los Angeles, CA 90006
Dr. Keith Syson Chans laboratory is seeking an early-stage postdoctoral scientist with proficient skills in molecular biology to investigate a novel outside-in-collagen receptor signaling and its transcriptional modulation of master regulators in collective cell migration, building on strong unpublished molecular regulation data and ChIP seq findings. The candidate must have a minimum of one first-author paper and should be a recent graduate (within one year). Candidates studying signaling transduction using CRISPR/Cas-mediated site-specific mutagenesis and domain swapping expertise will be highly preferred, experience in bioinformatic analysis of ChIP-seq results will be a plus. The candidate will be encouraged to venture into the broader roles of this signaling pathway in regulating the metastatic cascade, using many established in vivo models in our laboratory. Examples of the significant contributions in the field made by Dr. Chans lab are found in the following publications: https://www.nature.com/articles/nature14034 , https://academic.oup.com/jnci/article/110/5/448/4804352 , http://clincancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/22/4/802 .
