Job Summary

The mission of the Center for Outcomes Research (COR) is to conduct applied team research, develop researchers, and exert national leadership towards improved health outcomes for diverse patient populations by: designing, testing and validating, and implementing innovations in healthcare delivery.

The postdoctoral fellow will perform basic research duties under the supervision/direction of the Co\Directors of COR and COR Scientists. Current research topics within the department include reducing burnout in healthcare providers, resilience during response to natural disasters, adoption and implementation of telehealth, remote monitoring of patients' health and performance, developing a sepsis recognition training program, the effects of nature on health, access to care, and reducing patient readmissions. This position will have a special emphasis on big data projects focusing on neurology and cardiology.

Ÿ Develops research methods and performs research activities. (EF)

Ÿ Documents research results' prepares project updates, and writes reports of results for presentation and/or publication in professional journals and other publications. (EF)

Ÿ Assists in maintaining the functionality and operations of the Principal Investigator's laboratory. (EF)

  • Conduct data analysis €“ quantitative and qualitative research including use of appropriate software, such as Stat, SPSS, SAS, Atlas.ti and/or Nvivo.
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students on current/potential research projects. Serve a teaching role in developing students' research skills. Also assist students with developing IRBs.

Experience requirements will vary depending on the field of research.

Postdoctoral Fellow 0€“ no Postdoc experience required

Postdoctoral Fellow 1€“ one year of Postdoc experience

Postdoctoral Fellow 2 €“ two years of experience

Postdoctoral Fellow 3 €“ three years of postdoc experience

Postdoctoral Fellow 4 €“ four years of postdoc experience
