The primary purpose of this position is to provide strategic POS support and implementation as well complex tasks such as scripting and review of exception based errors. This is includes but is not limited to: working with the marketing team to determine pricing and promotions, planning, programming and the implementation of new pricing plans, creating and running reports using Microsoft SQL, as well as opening new locations and visiting car wash locations to ensure both current and new POS solutions are running smoothly.

Day to Day Responsibilities



  • Develops and executes SiteWatch POS pricing strategies

  • Design and track marketing campaigns and coupons

  • Thoroughly tests pricing changes

  • Creates test plans and documentation

  • Increases automation/reliability of hardware swaps and software deployments.

  • Provides monitoring of all endpoints in the environment for service and uptime requirements.

  • Performs site visits to ensure accurate Pricebook information is in effect and streamlined

  • Continuously identifies new opportunities for system efficiencies.

  • Responds to ticket requests within ServiceNOW.

  • Performs SAL/XPT Setup and Installations

  • Performs new Location Setup and installations

  • Installs software patches and updates

  • Hardens and test systems for PCI compliance

  • Provides Tier IV support to the Help Desk for (POS) escalated tickets

  • Provides technical troubleshooting support.

  • Installs, repair and maintain POS hardware and software.

  • Provide support to the Help Desk

  • Answer all after-hour calls for support and emergency situations



 


Position Responsibilities



  • Configure and Execute companywide POS Pricebook strategies for the retail locations, working cross-functionally as needed.

  • Must be able to sort through complex issues and conduct comparative analysis of multiple solutions.

  • Candidate must be forward thinking, solution driven with a logical / programming developer mindset with strong Microsoft SQL experience.

  • Thoroughly test pricing changes and create test plans and documentation.

  • Perform site visits to ensure accurate Pricebook information is in effect and streamlined.

  • Provide competitive market intelligence, pricing analyses and techniques and reporting.

  • Manage POS environment automation for security and consistency.

  • Manage monitoring of the environment for all endpoints, and core servers.

  • Develop structure for ongoing assessment and evaluation of pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profit maximization.

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and handle end-user support calls.

  • Install, repair and maintain POS hardware and software.

  • Address and document all requests in a timely manner within the ticketing system.

  • Maintain a customer focused etiquette to gather required information. This includes but is not limited to greeting users, establishing a rapport, and projecting a professional tone while recording the statistics necessary on each visit.

  • Must be willing to handle issues from initial onset through resolution through strong communication skills.

  • Other duties as assigned.



 


Position Requirements:



  • Must be available to work on a flexible schedule, which can include weekend and night shifts as well as emergency situations.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of technical working experience in Pricebook management and / or IT technical support.

  • Must have working knowledge of SQL and underlying database structure.

  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills and be willing to work in a team environment.

  • Possess initiative and motivation with a get the job done attitude, owning projects from start to finish.

  • Basic phone and interpersonal networking skills required.

  • Ability to utilize knowledge and experience from previous technical issues and apply it to current and future technical problems.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and general Microsoft troubleshooting.  Basic network troubleshooting required.

  • Basic Linux experience preferred.




  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Equivalent experience or certifications in software deployment or POS systems may be considered.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.




  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, employees, and the general public.

  • Focused on quality while maintaining a sense of urgency.

  • Additional Help Desk duties as assigned.

  • Preferred experience with POS systems in a multisite retail environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy, continuously changing environment.



 


Work Schedule Requirements:



  • Average 45 hours per week. During project rollouts or emergency situations you may be called upon to work additional hours to ensure we meet scheduled deadlines and / or objectives.

  • Flexibility is required to accommodate the needs of our team and our customers. This means during projects, outages or rollouts, working nights and /or weekends may be needed when traveling to our remote markets.

  • You will be available via cell phone and are expected to return urgent e-mails after hours and on days off. For this reason, Crews will provide a cell phone allowance.
