You will collaborate across Honeywell engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and will be part of a group of talented professionals who's expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead the team to understand needs, opportunities, and constraints. Evaluate and propose polymer-based solutions

·       Develop and test conveyer components through manufacturing polymer-based components using injection molding, 3D printing, thermoforming, and other low and high-volume processes

·       Identify and build working relationships with vendors and industry partners, determine specifications, obtain, or get access to necessary equipment, and coordinate experiments

·       Collaborate in a team environment across a diverse set of disciplines including material science, engineering, and conveyers

·       Establish quality and performance metrics

·       Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, productization and process engineering teams to deliver on research prototypes and scale up including pilot scale and technology transfer to contract manufacturer


·       BS, MS, or PhD in Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent

·       5+ years industrial experience in polymer process and manufacturing technology

·       Experience with low and high-volume manufacturing techniques (machining, 3D printing, injection molding, thermoforming, roll-to-roll processing)

·       2D and 3D CAD experience (2-3 years)



·       Experience in 3D design modeling: SolidWorks or similar

·       Experience in process engineering and metrology.

·       Expertise in Design for Manufacturing and design lifecycle.

·       Experience bringing a commercial product to market.

·       Experience with cross functional team communication

·       Experience with of interface joining and bonding techniques and adhesives

·       Experience with statistical process control

·       Experience collaborating with high-volume contract manufacturers

·       Experience with electronics and mechanical systems testing, associated data analysis

·       Experience with FMEA

·       Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.

·       Proven experience in developing new polymer-based products

·       Some experience developing products or sustaining existing products

·       A high comfort level working within a team of engineers

·       Good knowledge of mechanical industry

·       Understanding of fundamental structural mechanical and material properties and how they influence functionality of polymer components

·       Some experience in a highly regulated and safety critical domain

·       Six Sigma Certification
