We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Physician Assistant to execute the following job duties with our inpatient Hepatobiliary/Liver Transplant population. **Essential Duties:** + Under the supervision of the Medical/Surgical physician and within the physician assistants competence, the Physician Assistant (PA) provides inpatient services to the patients in the Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) and Liver Transplant program. + The PA is clinically responsible and accountable for the application of the PA process, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge. + You will coordinate daily activities of inpatient service, including facilitation of early discharge and care coordination/patient education, timely documentation of patient progress notes, discharge summaries, and CMS required care coordination notes, and coordinate communication of patient ADT and surgeries with referring and collaborating MDs. + You will develop and implement patient management plans and assist in provision of continuity of care. + The PA will collaborate with surgeons, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other medical personnel, clinically manage patients as determined by the supervising physician. + In addition to providing direct patient care under the supervision of the directing physician (s), the PA provides guidance, direction, and assistance to the health care team in maintaining optimum quality health care for patients. + The PA follows guidelines of the California Physician Assistant Committee and acts as an agent of the supervising physician when performing any authorized activity. **EducationalRequirements:** + Graduateof an approved physician assistant program + Mustcomplete 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years. **License/Certification/RegistrationRequirements:** + Current California PA licenses + ACLS Certification + BCLS certification + National Committee Certification Physician Assistant (NCCPA) **Experience:** + 2+ years experience in a hospital setting preferred Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
