From our 852-bed Level I Trauma Center to our 28-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit, we provide a full range of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Therapy services. With Cedars-Sinai, theres no limit to your growth. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Acute Therapy has an opening for a Physical Therapist Assistant 1. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Possesses physical therapist assistant license per California State requirements. Good basic knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting. Must be competent by virtue of training and/or experience, implement treatment plans and provide education in a manner appropriate to the age of the patient. Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboarding and mouse skills). As applicable to individual job duties and expectations, employee must additionally possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation development, e-mail, browser and online reporting. Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Educational Requirements: Graduate of a CAPTE accredited physical therapist assistant program License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Valid and current license as a physical therapist assistant in the state of California Valid and current CPR certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Experience Prefer clinical experience in acute care. Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking) Able to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs on an intermittent basis; able to bend, stoop, sit, stand and walk without restrictions.
