Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacist.

In this role, the successful candidate Analysis of all pharmacy acquisition costs, NDC numbers, billing and revenue aspects at all NYU Langone Hospitals Pharmacy Departments. Regular update and maintenance of Drug Pricing Master lists relative to changes in reimbursement schedules and formulas used throughout NYU Langone Hospitals

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the annual review, maintenance and update of all drug pricing information following the established schedule that is required by Pharmacy, Revenue Cycle, 340B Operations and Medication Pricing Committee, and Epic Willow for correct and accurate hospital billing both inpatient and throughout ambulatory sites
  • Review and update on a quarterly basis the ASP/APC schedules
  • Establishment and validation of ASP/APC, representative drug cost conversions to Willow billing units. Data to be completed in a Willow designated spreadsheet to be used for pricing uploading into Willow
  • Active participation in the cost validation before and after quarterly, annual or other pricing updates
  • Participate on the 340B Operations and Medication Pricing Committee as well as other Revenue Management and Pharmacy meetings and reviews as required
  • Assist in the management of the Medicaid Fee Schedule. Collaborate with Patient Accounting to provide necessary invoice cost and acquisition cost in an end-user friendly format for Medicaid claims
  • Maintain and archive various dynamic financial components concerning medications across NYULH including, but not limited to: medication costs (representative and acquisition), billing units, charge increments, and conversion factors
  • Assist the Pharmacy 340B Team, Pharmacy Business Operations Team, and other pharmacy-related revenue management teams as needed
  • Assist in 340B compliance through ongoing audit activities
  • Assist with 340B contract pharmacy opportunities and analyses
  • Aid in savings optimization through potential purchasing and NDC recommendations and present those recommendations to appropriate cost control pharmacy committees or individuals involved with cost control
  • Participate in the ongoing management of all NDCs in Epic Willow
  • Perform all other duties, as needed and assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors' degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical skills while able to maintain data integrity to assure accuracy and consistency of information.

Required Licenses: Pharmacist License-NYS

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Epic, drug procurement, and national drug codes is desirable
Advanced degrees such as Masters in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
