As a senior lead for Finance workstream of the consent order program for GWM within the PBWM, you will be part of a strategic team dedicated to the identification and remediation of key gaps in the Financial domain across Financial Resource Management, Data, Books & Records, Planning and Reporting processes executed by GWM (Private Bank) with responsibility for participating in future state process design, requirements for supporting platforms and testing and implementation of both across all workstreams. In close partnership with PBWM, ICG, EO&T and the overall Citi wide Consent Order Program/Project teams this role will ensure rollout of a strategically designed future state global process including governance and operating model.


Additionally, the role will ensure delivery of standardized, sustainable, efficient, well-controlled operational technology and processes that will support the goals of the Finance consent order program.


The team will be responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining key controls, and key operational and organizational metrics for the defined processes in alignment with Finance Target Operating Model and Consent Order strategic initiative.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Responsible to prepare and ensuring successful, timely execution of program/project plans and key milestones.

+ Liaise with members of Consent Order Working Groups, Enterprise Operations & Technology, Finance and Operations to ensure the project plans and action items are up to date and published to stakeholders.

+ Manage multiple priorities, plans and tasks and work with geographically diverse teams.

+ Active leadership and representation of GWM Technology in working group sessions, strategy planning and various reviews sessions to identify and facilitate remediation of detailed action plans and commitments to Consent Order targets.

+ Participate in cross-functional working groups among Data, Infrastructure, Process and Governance standardization for key reporting functions.

+ Proactively escalate/highlight potential issues identified in working group sessions to appropriate stakeholders and governance forums.

+ Responsible for reviewing updated project plans and key milestones related to project completion.

+ Change management, understand, and evaluate the implications of the changes proposed by Consent Order working group and communicate the impact on program/project plans.

+ Lead the design and implementation of both tactical and strategic remediation plans to address specific gaps in the Finance stream of Consent Order analysis.

+ Responsible for identifying specific action items, execution, and coordination with GWM Operations, updating of key resource materials and implementation of critical changes to operational procedures, and governance documentation.

+ Deliver standard guidelines, roles and responsibilities, and appropriate alignment of activities within GWM and Finance.

+ Lead the team to deliver results and influence change effectively across geographic and functional areas and levels.

+ Manage transition from current to future state process, providing senior guidance and support to reporting analysts

+ Identify process improvement efforts and coordinate and streamline control activities across business and functional lines resulting from changes in operation model.

+ Responsible for leading in the production of updated operational procedures and control documentation.

+ Active participation with members of the various functions to identify ways to streamline and implement action plans to create more accurate and timely results, as well as improving efficiency.

+ Interface with corporate functional leads for operational execution and interaction/ engagement resulting from proposed changes to Target Operating Model.

+ Be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive approach to all control programs and developing a sound and robust control environment.

+ Ensure report production activities are executed following current and transition to future state


QUALIFICATIONS:


+ Bachelors / Masters Degree in Technology / Finance/Accounting

+ Strong background in Program/Project Management of large/complex programs

+ Strong background in one or more of the Operations disciplines or areas of Finance

+ 15+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or business-related fields in Financial Services

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access.

+ Proven skills in leadership, operational discipline, problem solving and decision-making skills

+ Clear and concise communication (written, verbal) skills

+ Strong analytical skills, acting as an expert or advisor on Accounting and Close matters

+ Experience with process reengineering / process improvement, design and implementation of accounting and closing processes

+ A bias for action, self-motivated and skilled at motivating & influencing team members and stakeholders

+ Global awareness and global business orientation

+ For US, must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas.
