This position supports the general accounting mission of the department through the accurate and timely processing of the Medical Center's payroll-related disbursement to include employee salaries, all deductions, and payroll-related taxes. .\n

Qualifications:

    \n
  • This position requires knowledge of financial accounting theory, a thorough understanding of payroll procedures and tax laws and regulations at federal, state and local levels. \n
  • Also requires strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as computer literacy with specific knowledge of spreadsheet applications.\n

    Preferred:\n

      \n
    • Minimum 3 years of payroll operations experience with 5,000+ employees in multiple pay groups and states. \n
    • Audit and process electronic timesheets for multiple locations\n
    • \n
      Collect, verify and input additional information necessary for payroll processing such as tax status changes, electronic transfers for direct deposits, voluntary deductions, and garnishments\n
    • \n
      Ability and desire to provide exceptional customer service on payroll-related inquiries\n
    • \n
      Comfortable working with Excel to create and modify spreadsheets\n
    • \n
      Able to identify and facilitate changes quickly with Payroll and HR teams\n
    • \n
      Experience with Kronos v6.2 or higher, Dayforce HCM and Oracle ERP strongly desired\n
