The UW Medicine Eye Institute at Harborview has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR.

  • Is highly skilled with advanced clinical expertise in ophthalmic care, as well as anatomy and physiology of systems and systemic diseases affecting patients' well-being, specific to the eye
  • Provides advanced ophthalmic skills to the outpatient and inpatient components of the Eye Institute
  • Under general supervision of the manager, manages the daily operations of the Eye Institute to ensure efficient clinic operations and manage patient flow for multiple providers
  • Monitors personnel schedules to streamline clinic services and responds to provider schedule changes by assuring appropriate and adequate staffing levels are maintained
  • Is customer service-focused and possess strong people and organizational skills

    Completion of an ophthalmic or orthoptic technician program AND five years of ophthalmic experience AND certification appropriate for the clinical specialty; Certified Ophthalmic Tech
    equivalent education/experience.
