(Registered Nurse 2; RN2).  Harborview Medical Center is a level one adult and pediatric trauma center as well as regional burn center for a four state region; a teaching and research hospital for the University of Washington; and a public/safety-net hospital for our diverse community.

Current Harborview outpatient clinic openings:

**Pain Clinic- Regional Anesthesia Service** 
100% (40hrs per week), Day shift, Monday thru Friday
The HMC Regional Service Support Nurse supports the Regional Anesthesia Service to identify, educate and manage patients undergoing surgical procedures where pain can be managed with a peripheral nerve block.
Minimum Qualifications:
Baccalaureate of Science in nursing,  AND 2 years of experience interacting with surgical type patients, AND working knowledge of teaching hospital functions and roles. 


**Epilepsy Clinic** 
100% (40hrs per week), Day shift, Monday thru Friday
The RN 2s duties include complex nursing assessments; telephone triage; and other related RN2-level duties.
The RN2 plays a central role in the management of patient care, providing medical advice in both urgent and routine situations, and serving as a source of back-up expertise for both MAs and PSSs. The RN2 assists the provider in performance of procedures, and as an independent provider of certain RN procedures. The RN II will provide direct care and assist in delivering preventive client-focused health services including assessment, education, intervention and counseling related to health maintenance and other assigned duties. The RN2 coordinates care for a group of patients, including the key element of continuity of care. In all of these roles, the RN2 serves as an important communicator within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least two years of professional nursing work experience, including current or recent (within past 3 months) ambulatory care nursing work experience, in a fast-paced clinic setting.
Prior clinic experience includes immunizations, wound assessment/care, phlebotomy, nursing assessments, IV set up and maintenance, and telephone triage.
Experience working with diverse patient populations including the homeless and underserved. 

**Pediatric Clinic** 
100% FTE (40hrs per week), Day Shift
The Pediatrics Clinic at HMC provides complete care for infants, children and teens. The clinic utilizes a multidisciplinary staff that is highly collaborative and supportive, working together to achieve the best patient outcomes possible
Clinical services provided include: general pediatric care( well-child care and sick care)/Care Coordination; hearing and vision screening; immunizations for children from birth through age 21; health education and disease prevention; confidential teen services; injury prevention information; same-day appointments for sick children; developmental evaluations; books for children through the Reach out and Read (ROR) program; safety supplies (bicycle helmets) through Injury Free Coalition for Kids (IFKC) of Seattle; dental screening; and newly arrived refugee medical screening.  Ancillary services provided through the clinic include: lactation consultant services; social work services; interpreter services for non-English speaking families; legal counseling through a medical-legal partnership; access to Harborview's Community House Calls program to coordinate care for immigrant and refugee families; and health care financial counseling.  In addition, the Harborview Pediatrics Clinic provides specialty care through its associated Foster Care Clinic, Adolescent Medicine Clinic, mental health services (Psychiatry and Psychology), and traumatic brain injury (TBI) services. As a hospital-based pediatric clinic, the Harborview Pediatric Clinic has on-site access to laboratory, imaging (CT, ultrasound, X-ray), pharmaceutical, and other general specialty
Requirement: pediatric nursing work experience. 


**STD Clinic** 
80% FTE (32 hours per week), Day shift position available.
The Harborview/Public Health-Seattle & King County Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic is looking for a .80 FTE to work at our walk-in Clinic. Hours would be M-F between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM (7:30 PM on Wednesdays). Duties would include triage, STD testing, administration of medications and vaccination, health promotion, counseling and education. 

**International Clinic** 
50% FTE (20 hours per week), Day Shift,
The Internal medicine clinic specializes in acutely medically and socially complex non-English speaking refugee and immigrant populations. Additionally, it hosts two special clinics with one treating torture survivors (Northwest Health and Human Rights Clinic) and one providing critical health screening for recently arrived refugees (Refugee Health Promotion Clinic). As a member of the International Medicine Clinic team, the Registered Nurse 2 (RN2) helps to create a culture of professional excellence and an environment that values clinic staff and the population they serve. The RN2 plays a central role in the management of patient care, providing medical advice in both urgent and routine situations, and serving as a source of backup expertise for all the members of the clinic staff. The RN2 serves as an assistant to the provider in performance of procedures, and as an independent provider of certain RN procedures. The RN2 will provide direct care and assist in delivering preventive client-focused health services for women, including assessment, education, intervention and counseling related to health maintenance and other assigned duties. The RN2 coordinates care for a group of patients, ensuring continuity of their care received by the clinic.  In all of these roles, the RN2 serves as an important communicator within the team and must have experience working with refugee and non- English speaking patients, as well as experience in high acuity care areas.

**5NJB- Neuro, Spine, Sports Medicine & Stroke Specialty Clinic** 
100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day Shift, Monday thru Friday, 0900-1730 (with option of a flexed shift) position available.

**AACS Primary Care Clinics- Care Manager** 
Hourly/Per-diem Ambulatory Care RN Care Manager position available
Looking for an hourly/per-diem RN/Care Manager to work across Harborview's AACS Primary Care Clinics in providing outpatient care management, population health, transitional care outreach. The per diem hours would be Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
This position could be up to full-time hours thru the end of February, 2020 and TBD beginning 3/1/2020.

**Eye Institute Clinic** 
100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift, Monday-Friday 0800-1630, all holidays off. Position has shifts 0900-1730 to cover late clinics.
The Eye Institute is a fast paced worksite seeing close to 200 patients a day. The nurse will be responsible for telephone triage, lab draws, IV placement for clinic tests and clinic workflow.


**7MB Specialty Clinics**

100% FTE (40 hours per week), day shift position open (M-F, approx. 8:30-5).
This position includes working in urology, chest, kidney, GI, and liver clinics.
Requires two years RN work experience.


**Pioneer Square Clinic/Downtown Programs**


There are currently a total of three positions open: One 90% (36 hours per week) One 80% (32 hours per week) & One 70% (28 hours per week).

1. 80% FTE ( 32 hours per week), Split day/evening, 4 days a week. Monday-Thursday.  Hours would be 12:30-9pm.
We have a new grant to expand the staffing at the medical clinic in the DESC Main Shelter. This position would work into the evening to treat the residents of the shelter.  The RN would work collaborative with the shelter staff to identify residents that would benefit from medical services.  The position would also collaborate with the existing HMC staff at the main shelter to assure continuity of care.  This position will be primarily sited in the DESC main shelter but may require some time working in one of the other sites in the Pioneer Square Downtown Programs.

2. 70% FTE (28 hours / week) Day shift 5 days a week Tuesday  - Saturday.  Hours variable
This is a split position providing nursing services on our Healthcare in Housing Team.  The position will work between the Compass Center and the Estelle House, providing nursing care and linkages for the residents of the two buildings. This position will be primarily sited in Compass Center and Estelle but may require some time working in one of the other sites in the Pioneer Square Downtown Programs.

3. 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Split day/evening, 4 days a week (Tues-Fri).
This is a split location position going between Third Ave Clinic and St. Martin de Porres Mens Shelter. This position will provide nursing at both a primary care clinic as well as providing care and linkages for the residents of a large mens shelter. This position will be primarily sited at Third Ave Clinic and St. Martins but may require some time working in one of the other sites in the Pioneer Square Downtown Programs.


**Medical Respite, Jefferson Terrace** 
100% FTE (40 hours per week) available.  The Edward Thomas House Medical Respite at Jefferson Terrace, is a collaborative project among seven area hospitals and Health Care for the Homeless Network. The program provides nursing care 16 hours per day and non-clinical care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Nurses provide up to twice daily care for acute issues, as well as IV infusion and complicated wound care. Mental health clinicians complete a psychosocial screening to assess housing, mental health and funding needs. One year of RN nursing experience and familiar working with patient population.

**HCSATS (Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress)**
Per diem SANE position (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner).
On call position providing care to adult, adolescent and pediatric victims of sexual assault including physical exam and forensic evidence collection.  Service currently is provided at Harborview Medical Center and Valley Medical Center at a minimum.  Program may expand in the next year to cover additional facilities in the Seattle area.  40 hour didactic SANE training is provided along with extensive orientation. Minimum availability of 72 hours per month in 12 or 24 hour shifts. Must be able to respond to cases at all 5 hospitals we serve (Harborview, Swedish 1st Hill, Childrens, UW Medical Center and Valley) within a 45 min to 1 hour response time.  Emergency department, Womens health and/or Pediatric experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:
Current WA State RN License.
