NPI Assay Specialist

  • Represent Customer Care on NPI core team activities and work through analyzing and resolving complex functional and technical questions
  • Design and develop Service & Support plans through various phases of consumables and assay development projects
  • Participate and deliver tasks on the launch excellence teams
  • Function as a liaison with the design teams (Assays & Consumables) to help create design that can be serviced with world-class quality
  • Provide product and process input into product development core teams to enhance support and productivity for ongoing new programs.
  • Actively participate in the product development and design review process to help assess support requirements
  • Provides initial training and support to teams and ensures successful handoff to training teams post launch
  • Proactively evaluate and challenge designs for support & be the advocate for customers.
  • Create process workflows with a cross-functional team for new products using visual project management tools
  • Optimize and standardize how customer feedback is captured from our listening channels and disseminated into Service and Support plans
  • Align and collaborate with Regional Support leaders and subject matter experts for the successful implementation of Customer readiness for product launch
  • Act as a liaison between Regional Support leaders and the global teams.
  • Follow technical issues with products to sustain support strategies and amend when necessary
  • Provides monthly status reporting of all projects within the NPI team.
  • As part of the team, is a point of contact for Assays and consumables related issues, as assigned that require escalation into Technical support teams. This includes current approved products, and future assays
  • Serve as a point of escalation for internal support teams to resolve highly complex problems and discrepancies, collaborating with other departments as necessary to expedite resolution


    Education or Experience (in years): 

    • Bachelor€™s degree in Bio Medical Engineering with 5+ years of work experience in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Device, Life Science and Biomedical Engineering OR Master€™s degree in related field with 3+ years of experience.
    • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting products
    • Experience in an ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing environment a plus.
    • 3 years and above relevant experience in supporting new product launches

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

      • Excellent Project Management skills
      • Agile PLM experience is preferred
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
      • Prior experience in medical device or other highly regulated industry is preferred.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and the ability to identify and recommend best courses of action from several alternatives
      • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and application of commercial computer application packages (Windows, MS Office, learning development platforms, mobility applications, etc.)
      • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment
      • Self-motivated, self-governing, organized, and with strong attention to details
      • Ability to perform responsibilities as stated with minimal supervision
      • Ability to create and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment

        Travel: 5-10%
