Position Summary:

This hybrid role allows an individual a traditional role dashed with nontraditional variety. This position is part of our 24/7 team, which is the lifeline of our company during our nontraditional business hours. This position is a valued asset to our professional truck drivers who only have the 24/7 team for solid support during these times. This position offers traditional Driver Manager responsibilities such as planning, directing & coordinating operation activities with other important support functions for our professional truck drivers

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Dispatch when necessary & display working knowledge of the fleet

  • Effective & efficient communication skills encompassing hand offs, emails, phone calls & follow ups with any departments necessary

  • Comfortable holding drivers accountable for operating in a safe manner while meeting customer & company expectations

  • Hold drivers accountable for safety, DOT regulations, & company policies

  • Update Safety Director on OS&D claims of issues that happen after hours

  • Become seamless with each Driver Manager's board for weekend coverage

  • Run & monitor verbal temperature reports - must contact all drivers who have not reported with documentation on all calls

  • Assist with breakdown issues when applicable

  • Assist Drivers who come to the front desk outside of traditional business hours

  • Work on load recoveries over the weekend

  • Provide log corrections when suitable

  • Customer support during after-hours

  • Other duties as assigned by managers


  • 2-2-3 shift (36 hours week one, 48 hours week two)

  • Bi-weekly rotation; 12 hour shifts; 6 pm to 6 am

  • Every other weekend off

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); required

  • 2+ years in transportation: required

  • Associate Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or relatable field; a plus

  • AS400 experience; a plus

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; preferred

  • Ability to tolerate high stress situation

  • Proactive mindset and strong personal accountability

  • Strong attention to details and record keeping

  • Able to work professionally with diverse group of people internally and externally

  • Ability to multitask and make quick decisions
