Description The National Sales Executive - Group Medicare sells products/services to a small group of strategic/key accounts critical to the organization in terms of sales volume or market share growth. The National Sales Executive - Group Medicare works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. Responsibilities The National Sales Executive - Group Medicare acts as single point of contact for assigned customers. Focuses on driving revenue and client retention by building consultative relationships. Understands customer industry and business needs to offer unique and innovative solutions. Works with client to establish a strategic account planning process and agree upon performance objectives. Coordinates internal resources to meet and exceed performance objectives and customer expectations. Typical sales cycles may be long and can be complex. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Required Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree + 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient + Experience with Group Medicare products or services + Ability to travel regularly, by land and air 50% of the time + Active health and life insurance licenses (or able to obtain within 60 days of hire) + This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits Preferred Qualifications + Prior sales experience in the health and wellness solutions industry working with large group segment brokers and employers Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About Us Mission: At Humana, our cultural foundation is aligned to helping members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
