Mobility Specialist, Immigration Team

The immigration team is a group of project managers, analysts, and experienced subject matter experts who act as strategic partners and consultants to Amazon business leaders and partner teams globally.
The team is looking for a smart, passionate Mobility Specialist to lead immigration and mobility service improvement projects and support the creation of new service offerings.
Key job responsibilities
€¢ Support the optimization of large-scale functions related to cross border work, owned by multiple organizations, which includes immigration, assignments, secondments, country-to-country transfers, and short-term work deployments
€¢ Identify mobility process gaps and pain points, and partner with services teams to design and execute remediation plans
€¢ Collaborate with tech teams to ensure the right expert resources and technology requirements are considered
€¢ Support the development of technology roadmaps to scale programs that are durable, sustainable and flexible
€¢ Define success metrics and inspection mechanisms to audit mobility programs
€¢ Plan, prepare and support program audits to drive compliance and service enhancements
€¢ Working backwards from the customer, design optimal mobility journeys based on the needs of various personas
€¢ Prepare program updates and business reviews, and support the development of 3-year plans and OP documents
€¢ Create concise narratives using data to articulate project updates, program health, key initiatives and future planning
€¢ Manage immigration due diligence gathering and analysis for country expansion projects, in collaboration with Immigration providers and other service teams
€¢ Manage reporting requirements for Amazon€™s short-term worker immigration program
€¢ Perform short-term worker immigration assessments and compliance analysis, including monthly metrics reviews and audit of providers reports against program needs
€¢ Create and maintain immigration and mobility resources including intranet Content, training materials, FAQs, mobility Alerts, compliance guides and operational processes (SOPs)
€¢ Manage mobility projects and queries, including collation of diligence and execution of multi-jurisdiction matrices, dashboards, reports and other deliverables
€¢ Support other program and country-level continuous improvement initiatives, in partnership with regional leaders and subject matter experts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
€¢ Bachelor€™s Degree or equivalent
€¢ 5+ years program management experience in high-volume settings such as immigration, tax, global mobility or HR
€¢ 5 years+ global immigration or mobility experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
€¢ Experience of building, implementing and managing global immigration and mobility programs
€¢ Deep understand of mobility trends and processes globally
€¢ Experience resolving complex immigration and mobility issues independently
€¢ Experience taking ownership in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
€¢ Experience managing third party vendors
€¢ Ability to adapt to change and collaborate effectively at all levels, in a highly matrixed environment
€¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
€¢ Solid sense of accountability, sound personal judgment and ability to adapt to change
