Job Summary
Responsible for providing comprehensive and complex analysis of a wide-range of business opportunities in assessing and valuing new business opportunities. Applies strategic methodology in research of external market data and internal performance data to inform business growth strategies for complex conditions. Responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration across business and support units, setting timelines and ensuring completion of milestones to achieve business goals. Oversees the design and generation of Pharma required reports for Local Specialty.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides detailed analysis to inform Strategy and business unit leadership throughout development of strategic plans for the non-central Specialty business.
  • Oversees the creation and ongoing generation of Limited Distribution Drug reports (contractually required by Pharma partner). Responsible for ensuring quality requirements and submission deadlines are met to maintain access to drugs.
  • Oversees the development of execution and strategic reporting tools for use by corporate and field leadership
  • Conducts in-depth, complex analysis of division/department actual performance as compared to strategic plans and recommends strategies for improvement (strengths/weaknesses). Recommends improvements in current products and services.
  • Serves as the Specialty SME on relevant internal and external data sources and partners with others across Enterprise Specialty to deliver comprehensive and actionable recommendations necessary for business growth.
  • Develops quantitative internal and external business studies to result in enhanced profitability.
  • Collaborates with internal partners to develop action plans designed to achieve differentiation of products and services from competitors.
  • Analyzes financial trends and overall impact of potential strategic initiatives
  • Supports business unit leadership in preparing content for strategic presentations and executive updates.
  • Provides guidance and prioritizes tasks for direct reports regarding analytics, data capture and contract compliance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in analytics, informatics, computer science or health care administration.
  • Masters in IT, CS, Business or Analytics, or MBA in Health Care Management
  • At least 5 years healthcare analytics experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Life Sciences industries.
  • Experience using sophisticated mathematical models and concepts.
  • Experience working with IMS and EDW data
  • Experience interpreting healthcare data to effectively present analysis and findings.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve business results
  • Experience using relational database design including database tables, field formats, key values, and database indexes.
  • At least 3 years experience programming in a language such as SQL, or similar experience in an analytical toolset such as HDMS, Cognos, Hyperion/Brio, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Microsoft Analytic Services, SAS, etc.
  • At least 1 year hands‐on analyst experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Life Sciences with a leading, recognized analytical tool such as HDMS, Cognos, Hyperion/Brio, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Microsoft Analytic Services, SAS, etc.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel 2003 or later (for example: using multiple sheets and workbooks, logical Operators (for example: "AND" and "OR"), creating charts, and pivot tables).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing employees (direct or indirectly)
  • Experience with SDLC processes (RUP, Agile, Waterfall)
  • Six-sigma certification or experience
