The GHRPP Business Lead (BL) is the key advisor for a specific business unit or units on international assignment HR matters, including international capture support, advising businesses on the proper deployment of expatriates and travelers, and designing cost competitive and compliant solutions to staff international programs. The BL has a strong customer service orientation, expertise in one or more foreign countries in which we do business, and enables the design and delivery of solutions that enable the business/program to meet international strategic objectives.
The BL reports to the Senior Manager, GHRPP, and works closely with the International Assignment Coordinators (IAC) in International Assignment Services (IAS) providing oversight on individual deployment issues for expatriates on the BLs managed programs.
Liaisons: Business and International HR, program directors, capture leads, business and corporate legal and tax, business development, finance, security, Global Mobility Services, contracts, and outside vendors (e.g. immigration).

Roles and Responsibilities

Key knowledge expert for Enterprise business leaders, HR Business Partners, and HR Generalists on the international assignment and related policies as they apply to capture pursuits, with strong knowledge of expatriate compensation, tax, immigration, treaties, and employment implications of doing business internationally
Point of contact for Business HRBPs, HR Generalists and program management in the area of international HR support and guidance
Build relationships, particularly with Program Directors and HR leaders, to ensure that the proper stakeholders are involved early in the gate review process to enable compliant deployment of company employees
Become recognized as a key participant in gate reviews
Proactively reach out to educate business, program, and HR colleagues on compliance related to deploying employees and designing compliant solutions

Build and maintain a network across the company to help advise programs and businesses on competitive practice
Exercise good judgment, creativity and innovative solutions to meet international human capital challenges
Provide recommendations for internal GHRPP and IAS operating policies and processes
Identify changes to Enterprise policies and processes
Proactively interface with Legal and Business leads to establish business presence in deployment locations
Work closely with IACs providing oversight, mentoring and feedback on their work processes and customer service skills

Required Skills, Experience, and Attributes

Minimum 6 years experience with significant experience working with US expatriates and employer sponsored programs
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to develop strong working relationships
Ability to create innovative solutions and influence others
Strong knowledgeable of particular country or countries and with nuances of dealing with immigration, tax, benefits, cultural and other requirements to the country/countries

Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level US security clearance
Some domestic and/or international travel may be required

Desired Skills, Experience, and Attributes

Lived outside US; knowledge of one or more foreign languages/cultures

General HR, compensation, and/or international tax (expatriate) experience in a customer facing role
Military experience or HR experience supporting a military contract environment

Education

Bachelors degree

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
