Description
Performs laboratory procedures in all areas of the Core Laboratory. Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis and minimal Microbiology. Work in accordance with the departments Standard Operating Procedure to produce accurate results and complete testing within designated turnaround times.
Perform instrument maintenance and Quality Control with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and document results under the guidelines of the Quality Assurance program.
Follow CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
Exhibit professional ability in communicating with staff members and other departments.
Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment.




Qualifications:

Qualifications
MLS/MLT ASCP or equivalent. Completion of an Associates or Baccalaureate degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or Baccalaureate Degree in related science from an accredited school. Meets the requirements and qualifies as a technologist under CFR 493.1433 CLIA laboratory regulations published March 14, 1990 (55 FR 9538). National certification eligible by NCA, ASCP, or HEW.
At least 1 year previous experience preferred.
