Virginia Mason is seeking\na certified Medical Assistant. You will assist providers and other members of\nthe health care team in the clinic by performing a variety of back office and\npatient-related tasks and ensuring smooth patient and workflow within the\ndepartment. You will also perform variety of patient care procedures\nwithin the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice. These procedures may\ninclude but are not limited to: injections, EKGs, ear lavage and blood draws,\nmeasuring patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse,\nrespirations, and temperature),manage rooming and patient flow including\npre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties.\nYou will inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow, assist\nwith front office activities and varied scheduling tasks and reports test\nresults as directed by the provider.

Qualifications:

\n
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program, with Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) or Medical Assistant Interim (IC) credential required.

Knowledge of third party payer requirements required.
\n
Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently, required.
\n
Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required. Skill in using a PC required.
