SUMMARY: Title and responsibilities will be determined in a progressive manner based on skill and expertise within the same job group. This position is an entry-level position in inventory control. Responsible for accomplishing all required cycle count transactions for materials in addition to driving the delivery truck, determined by level. Team members are required to embrace and execute the company core values, while actively supporting the companys vision and goals.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Includes the following; other duties will be assigned in a progressive manner.


Ability to lift, bend and carry a minimum of 30lbs.


Able to work on your feet for 8-10 hours.


Ability to read parts lists and act on written or verbal instructions.


Pick factory work orders and restock incoming material.


Ability to maintain locations and refill individual cell needs.


Have basic computer skills; enter inventory transactions and part locations.


Cycle count parts to assist in yearly inventory.


Climb up stairs, operate and ride a freight lift.


Carry parts up and down a 6 movable stepladder.


Forklift training or ability to be certified.


Breakdown and dispose of cardboard boxes.


Light cleaning.


Assist in other departments or with other duties as assigned.


Drives delivery/box truck to other local locations.


 


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however all team members are expected to self-supervise to ensure the companies continuous


improvement philosophy and core values are maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and pass a drivers license background check for the Material Handler III position only. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Prior experience and/or training.


 


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required for Material Handler II.  A valid drivers license and the successful completion of a background check for MVR purposes is required for the Material Handler III position only.


 



LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with team members of organization.
