Marketing Traffic Manager


Manages flow and organization of the marketing department systems, projects, and processes. Works to support project completion with a strategic focus on building efficiencies in overall workflow, systems, and organization. This position will collaborate with the marketing department, cross-functionally with other departments in the company, and external vendors.


Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and track the status of multiple projects across the department. Manage department workflow and production of programs, collateral, and communication.

  • Focus on operational excellence within marketing team to drive process efficiencies relative to commercial execution. Evaluate current systems and identify/implement improvements to increase efficiencies in process, programs, visibility, communication, and workflow across department.

  • Own organization of department files, assets, apps/software, communication channels.

  • Develop and manage master calendar to track and identify interdependencies of society meetings, trainings, editorial calendar, etc.

  • Handle supportive components of projects such as translations, transcriptions, QR codes, bit links, printing, facilitating proofreading, routing for review, etc. Collect and organize assets for various projects (e.g., photography, videos, QR codes, bit links, event details, etc.)

  • Partner with regulatory team to ensure file health and keep documents up to date in system.

  • Utilize media monitoring program to identify key information and to disseminate across the company to appropriate audiences.

  • Handle incoming field and internal company requests. Develop system to manage requests and to prioritize and route appropriately.

  • Support execution of all direct-to-consumer marketing.

  • Handle project budgets and engage with vendors and accounting department to manage associated contracts, quotes and invoices.

  • Serve as intermediary between agencies and staff to streamline timelines, communication, file review, etc.

  • Occasional onsite support for marketing and customer events.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; attending marketing conferences/tradeshows; reviewing professional/trade publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Support compliance with the company quality standards, FDA regulations and guidance, applicable EU Medical Device directives, applicable ISO s

  • tandards, and other pertinent country specific medical regulatory requirements.

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.


Education and  Experience


  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant field with a minimum of five years related experience in a marketing role or in the marketing industry OR Masters degree in same fields with a minimum of 2 years related experience in a marketing role or in the marketing industry.


  • Certification or experience with project management and project management software.

  • Experience with Smartsheet, BOX and Salesforce.com.

  • Experience in the medical device industry, preferably in the pain management, spinal surgery, or related specialties.


  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Takes initiative, great pride and ownership in work.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with focus on concise, accurate, deadline-driven information.

  • Ability to manage and provide direction to outside vendors.

  • Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments.

  • Self-directed with ability to effectively work under tight deadlines, adapt easily and manage multiple projects independently, with patience.

  • Advanced computer skills particularly in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe.

  • Expertise in tracking and disseminating information.

  • Good data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Comfortable working in high change environment.

  • Tech savvy: advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Adobe; proficient in mobile/cloud resources including Box, Smartsheet and Salesforce and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.


  • Travel (Distributed Workforce) Approximately 10% of work time will be spent traveling to headquarters for team meetings, conferences or meetings, including overnight.

  • Physical Demand While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.   • Mental Demand Moderate to high degree of concentration due to volume, complexity, and/or pressure of work.

  • Work Environment 

    • Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, needles, and sharps, and radiation (from x-ray / fluoroscopy and similar medical equipment).

    • Work evenings and weekends when requested (or other availability required outside of defined work schedule).

    • Meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings and background checks with a satisfactory result in accordance with Company requirements and the requirements of the customer/medical facility attending.
