The Marcus by Goldman Sachs team is seeking a consumer-centric, analytically-minded, creative and energetic VP of Customer Lifecycle Marketing.  In this role you apply your consumer financial services / credit card industry experience and hands-on leadership skills to drive growth and engagement for our business. We're looking for exceptional marketers with a track record of success in consumer engagement, retention, and loyalty marketing. You will be responsible for driving segmentation and targeting, delivering creative and campaign engagement, and optimizing channel and program performance. For a marketer who is a self-starter and innovative problem-solver, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in a rapidly-growing business.



  • Establish and deliver on marketing program goals for existing customer engagement and retention \u2013 and be accountable for program goals. Relevant metrics include product engagement, churn/retention rates, budgets, and NPS
  • Build and optimize a multi-channel, integrated marketing strategy and program across digital and offline channels to drive towards business objectives/goals. Programs to include early tenure, tenured, pre-attrition and retention
  • Build KPI tracking and reporting at a program, segment, and business level
  • Create marketing campaign strategies and execution plans that drive business goals
  • Partner closely with Marketing Operations, Creative/Production and Analytics teams and cross functional partners (e.g., Product, Risk, Engineering, Data Servicing, Finance, Legal/Compliance)
  • Influence and drive results through partner and vendor relationships


  • 6+ years of experience in direct marketing, analytical and strategic roles in a B2C Marketing capacity (co-branded marketing experience desired)
  • Ability to build and lead a world class, cross-discipline marketing team
  • Data-driven marketer with strong analytical skills that can identify trends and provide action-oriented insights
  • Familiarity with core marketing technology, processes and operations
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and experience executing seamlessly integrated cross-channel marketing programs
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
