The Amazon Robotics (AR) Technical Operations organization oversees testing of high-quality robotics and gets the right materials to the right place at the right time to enable our automated solutions. It€™s a fast-paced operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally, and is driven by data and performance indicators.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Support Engineer with a proven track record of supporting advanced manufacturing test equipment. This role will report to the Manager of Test Engineering within the Global Operations organization.
Responsibilities


Automated Test Equipment Support
· Maintain and troubleshoot advanced automated test equipment.
· Ensure equipment Key Performance Indicators (KPI) thresholds are met.
· Use basic hand tools to replace and repair electro-mechanical assemblies.
· Build, modify and assemble electro-mechanical and pneumatic prototypes.
· Assist in root cause failure analysis.
Maintain technical maintenance logs.
· Record preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
· Identify trends in part failures.
· Review and modify maintenance and troubleshooting documentation.
· Maintain and promote safe operations by exhibiting safe work and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
· Communicate (in writing and verbally) with Technicians to Engineers to solve problems.
· Help plan and organize work, referencing CAD drawings or sketches and written or oral instructions as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 4+ years of experience in support or maintenance in manufacturing environment.
· Solid working knowledge of basic hand tools including digital multimeter and torque wrenches.
· Ability to use email and ticketing software to communicate and organize activities.
· Ability to read log files to troubleshoot automated equipment.
· General understanding of control system concepts and best practices.
· Ability to apply knowledge to troubleshooting of electro-mechanical and pneumatic control systems.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
· Ability to work in a team-based collaborative environment where priorities may shift regularly.
· Strong PC knowledge including Excel and Word experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 4+ year degree.
· 2+ years SolidWorks or similar CAD experience with best practices for part design, advanced assemblies, complex configuration management.
· Knowledge of one or more programming languages.
· Experience troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware.
· Strong working knowledge of pneumatic and electro-mechanical control systems.
· Understanding of standard manufacturing processes (sheet metal, 3D printing, machining)
