Job Description

Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipment, process and training.

Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters.

Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.

In addition, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for, but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining.
  • Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization.
  • Responsible for running lots in a qualitative way.
  • Responsible for improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability.
  • May be responsible for the buddy, trainer, and certifier levels and is in charge of updating training manuals.
  • May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Judgment and initiative in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum

Work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.

  • Candidate must possess a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) associate's degree, or bachelor's degree; or Mechanical or Technical certification or related hands-on manufacturing minimum experience of 6 months or equivalent military training.
  • Work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and spend the majority of time (greater than 90% less break time) on the floor working on tool sets, walking 3-5 miles a day, and/or standing/sitting for 9 hours.
  • Work a night shift compressed work week schedule
  • Shift is twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week: Wednesday/Thursday/Friday every other Saturday nights (Shift 6)


Preferred


Minimum 6 months of prior experience in the following areas:

  • Electronic/avionic experience
  • Electronics or digital circuitry
  • End-user computer skills and navigation, schematic/wiring diagram reading, electronic systems troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Testing, repairing and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment down to a component using available schematics, technical data and test equipment.
