Manufacturing/Process Engineer II - Mechanical

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer II will drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes through use of lean manufacturing/DBS tools.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Identifies cost-savings and quality improvement projects in assigned area(s) and move them from concept to implementation.
  • Develops, enhances, implements and maintains manufacturing methods, techniques, processes, and tooling on fabricated parts, components, subassemblies and final products¬†
  • Facilitates process improvement kaizen events.
  • Interfaces with the Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing functions as well as suppliers to conduct problem solving activities, and to develop and implement new and revised processes into manufacturing.
  • Develops and writes documents (ie test protocols, equipment validation, SOPs etc)s to support process changes and or implementation of new processes and or equipment ensuring manufacturing documents are created, updated and incompliance with company standards

    The Manufacturing/Process Engineer II will also drive successful process improvements with a mechanical engineering skillset. Responsibilities include:

    • Analyze production equipment and associated process metrics to identify process improvement opportunities.
    • Design and facilitates procurement and installation of mechanical upgrades to existing automation equipment to facilitate faster throughput, efficiency and uptime.
    • Fixture design and implementation to help facilitate repeatable and ergonomic manufacturing processes.
    • Work with controls engineering to design and develop new automated manufacturing equipment.
    • Create and update CAD (ie SolidWorks) for mechanical parts, assemblies and drawings to support project deliverables.


      • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent with 2+ years exp. OR Master's degree in field with 0-2 years exp.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Proficient in SolidWorks (or equivalent) and Microsoft office.
