Manufacturing Engineer: 

We are looking for a dynamic technical contributor who can integrating new products into manufacturing and supporting manufacturing and repair of our EO/IR products. They will have Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities for developing manufacturing solutions and supporting prototypes, production and repair of complex electo-optical-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports, maintains and drives improvements related to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC)
  • Provides manufacturing engineering, DFX and Design to Cost inputs during the design
  • Analyzes production flow, BOM structure, DFX and Design to Cost in support of design reviews and release
  • Develops and maintains production & repairs documentation: procedures, routers and manufacturing orders.
  • Identifies, develops and coordinates procurement and implementation of all necessary tooling and build fixtures.
  • Provides build coordination, technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production and repairs.
  • Supports the creation and disposition of design and manufacturing ECOs and Redlines.
  • Supports MRB and the creation and disposition of NCs and FRs.
  • Investigates design, process, and workmanship failures and recommends and implements corrective actions.
  • Supports continued improvement of designs, procedures and processes through the implementation of LEAN principles and Operational Excellence Metrics and countermeasures.
  • As an AS9100 Certified Company, follows internal process and supports the quality system to ensure conformance to established policies/procedures.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Education – Bachler of Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Optical or equivalent training/experience
    • Experience – 6+ years of related experience
    • High level expertise in many of the following areas and a basic understanding in most other areas:
        • Manufacture of complex electro-mechanical-optical products and/or sub-assemblies. 
        • Demonstrated ability to provide hands-on process engineering support to development, production and repairs
        • Real time resolution of production issue. 
        • Understanding of defense products
        • Requires minimal management instruction or supervision.
        • Must be a US Citizen.

          ADA Requirements:

          • Some repetitive motion activities
          • Visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information
          • Able to use a computer/keyboard for extended periods of time
            • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs, with assistance
            • Able to use office equipment and computers/peripherals in a typical office/light manufacturing environment
              • Fast paced, schedule-driven environment; Some stress related to making decisions with ambiguous information
              • Willing and able to work extended hours when necessary
