Summary: 

The Manufacturing and Inventory Analyst will analyze and manage inventory levels at all manufacturing and distribution sites. Responsibility includes creating and maintaining effective and efficient inventory systems to ensure customer satisfaction, reduce stock outs, minimize total inventory costs and optimize inventory turns.  This includes forecasting, setting min/max levels or using other methods, execution oversight, and monitoring and reporting of results to management.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position manages all aspects of Lummus global inventory and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within these department. Responsible for the execution of an aggressive and comprehensive inventory reduction program.


Leverage Lean Concepts to develop and effectively implement advanced Supply Chain solutions.

Provide governance for forecasting and MRP technologies to provide optimal inventory levels, inventory turns while minimizing inventory dollars.

Enforce inventory management policies and procedures and monitor adherence within Operations and Sales.

Partner with all functional groups to develop an effective inventory management strategy. Accountability to ensure customer service goals are attained.

Report on critical metrics including Turns, Days on Hand, Inventory aging and reduction. Able to provide analysis of critical spare inventory for optimal availability while minimizing inventory stock outs. Provided identification of inventory commodities as candidates for obsolescence and disposal to optimize company investment.

Effectively manage cycle count and other programs to ensure inventory accuracy and limit impacts to the balance sheet. Perform inventory adjustments (quantity and price variance analysis). Leads the annual physical inventory process.


Position includes occasional travel, possible some international.

Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree required, preferred degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Statistics or Finance.

A minimum of 5+ years Supply Chain and/or Operations.

Previous demand planning, forecasting, and sales planning experience required.

5+ years experience in forecasting / replenishment, finance, logistics / planning. 

Excellent math and analytical skills are a must. 

Experience with data management and analysis a must. 

Experience with MRP / ERP database management a must.
