The Manager Test Engineering 2 will work with the HART team to design, build and deploy an enterprise biometric system. The **Manager Test Engineering 2** role will be located in **Fairfax, VA** .

Position Description:
- Designs, develops and implements testing methods and processes
- Involved in planning of system and pipeline deployment as well as responsible for meeting test compliance standards.

- Directs all phases of release management and test from inception through completion, including configuration management of system baseline.

- Responsible for the all financials, cost, schedule and technical performance of multiple projects or major tasks.
- Acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational
programs.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple cybersecurity, information technology, communications and/or international
business projects.
- Ability to drive performance in a team environment - Develop a performance measurements framework and facilitate feedback system to team members on issues such as

customer service, communication, and technical skills in order to enhance the quality of support delivered.
- Develop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needs.
- Resolve escalated customer, team mate, and vendor issues.
- Resolve daily issues of a complex scope that impact the team and overall business objectives.
- Maintain a high level of employee morale within the team by creating a high performance organization.
- Assist in the professional and technical development of team leaders; enabling them to set technical goals, monitor,
mentor, coach and assist team members to deliver quality support.
- Responsible for the preparation and administration of departmental budgets, business plans and metrics.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

- BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and a minimum of 7 years of experience; 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.

- Experience developing automated test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, acceptance criteria, test data, investigating and debugging test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary

- Experience working with a version control system.

- Experience in developing and maintaining automated testing framework and infrastructure.

- Experience in integrating project testing with continuous-integration process

- Experience in using Jira and Confluence

- Able to obtain DHS clearance.

- Must be able to pass a DHS "Public Trust" / suitability check (i.e. DHS Entry On Duty (EOD) requirement.

- Professional e xperience in a lead or management position in a team environment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Demonstrable experience leading Agile teams

- Experience with Cloud and Amazon Web Service

- Experience with OpenShift, Jenkins and/or Kubernetes

- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework

- Experience in using Xray and Bitbucket
