The Manager - Technical Program Management supports the planning and delivery of the newest generations of data center technologies and their implementation into new and retrofit to existing data centers. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with advanced cloud infrastructure solutions and the exceptional people that develop them.

Key job responsibilities
The person in the role applies their expertise to:
€¢ Manage a team of technical program managers who determine the technical, business, and operational requirements and dependencies for leading edge infrastructure solutions
€¢ Determine the implementation scope (global), constraints, cost, and people and expertise needed to implement these programs
€¢ Evaluate the requirements and actions that close the gap between concept and readiness for these new technologies in our global infrastructure
€¢ Gain concurrence on plan readiness and prioritization, including integration requirements, financial sustainability, and supplier qualification and diversity
€¢ Plan for global and regional specifics, test and validation, deployment schedules, and similar production readiness actions
€¢ Collaborate across organizations (Engineering, Development, Finance, Operations) and be the linchpin for successful delivery of technologies

A day in the life
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for engineering, development, finance, integration, and operation of these complex technology programs. You prioritize your activities to support data center product development, solve problems and blockers, and focus on the actions that are most impactful for program success. You should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, and contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating leadership, technical competence, and a bias for action. The impact of the changes are broad, so you will be working with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.


* Bachelor€™s Degree in business, science, engineering or a related discipline
* Minimum 7 years of project or program management experience OR 10 years of project management experience when substituting experience for degree
* Minimum 7 years' experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
* Minimum 5 years' experience managing people in project execution and program delivery


* Master's degree in business, science, engineering or a related discipline
* Specific examples of using creative solutions to solve problems and accelerate programs
* Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection
* Diverse work experience, including experience on innovative programs, and a business curiosity/strategic viewpoint
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
* Experience in communicating and briefing senior executives
* Experience with program management methodologies
* Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, ambiguous work environment
* Exceeds Amazon€™s leadership principles requirements for this role
* Exceeds Amazon€™s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
