Abbott Weesp is an important Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) site with modern production facilities and global EPD-departments. Job description

Quality Services Manager will manage the Centers of Excellence (CoE) for Stability, Analytical Reference Standards (ARS), and Compendia Services within EPD.

Tasks and responsibilities
  • Day to day management and leadership of CoEs assuring timely execution and delivery of commitments in line with EPD requirements.
  • Ensures that all facilities, systems and processes used for GXP activities are compliant with applicable regulations, and internal quality policies and standards.
  • Ensure timely qualification and supply of analytical reference standards supporting EPD products.
  • Provide timely delivery of approved stability documents for regulatory submissions worldwide and technical expert support for product stability related assessments.
  • Support Compendia compliance of the EPD sites through timely notification of proposed and official changes in compendia. Primary contact for Compendia Agencies to negotiate Abbott EPD position on proposed compendia changes.
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators for the CoEs to assure high level of service is maintained.
  • Primary point of contact for key internal and external customers including EPD manufacturing sites, Third Party Manufacturers, Contract Laboratories, Regulatory Agencies and EPD Product Workstreams.

    Background and competences
    • Master's degree or equivalent in technical/science, engineering, or medical fields.
    • 8 years or more experience in pharmaceutical industry and QC/QA, or QC or QA environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in people management/leadership position.       
    • Excellent leadership and motivating skills.
    • Excellent analytical, critical and structured thinking and problem-solving skills for complex problems/situations with multiple elements.
    • Strong customer-oriented ability and focus on quality and compliance.
    • An eye for continuous improvement and innovation opportunities.
    • Fluent in both Dutch and English.
    • Excellent communication skills, influencing and convincing skills.
    • Result-oriented, good organizational and planning skills, able to set clear priorities and goals, takes decisions in time, anticipate where needed.
    • Strong project management skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with its laws and regulations within the GXP (GMP) domain.  Understands the balance between regulations and the business.
