Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. The candidate will manage both the Technical Publications team and the Training team. The manager will oversee a team of 5-12 team members. Technical areas of responsibility include managing suppliers to deliver quality maintenance technical manuals within schedule and cost, ensuring the training team develops quality maintenance and aircrew training materials and conducts training for operators and maintainers supporting Developmental and Operational Test. This role includes the management of people, processes, assets, and budget related to the execution of program objectives.

In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

+ Manage the Technical Publications and Training contractual obligations

+ Be the single point of accountability for accomplishing program objectives for the team

+ Manage and distribute team members tasks

+ Coordinate with suppliers to understand and resolve issues associated with the development and publish of technical procedures

+ Ensure team adheres to standard training guidelines during curriculum development

+ Prepare and manage project schedule and budgets to include EVMS and prepare status reports on the health of the projects

+ Identify risks and opportunities and coordinate with programs to mitigate and retire risks

+ Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

+ Prepare briefings for management on program status

+ Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and tools for intervention and problem solving with program managers, suppliers and clients
+ Provide management, guidance and development to the team members of the Technical Publications and Training Team

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 5 years of technical publications development.
+ 3 years of experience in a leadership role with experience in managing people and projects
+ Must-have the ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Possess strong communication skills, including experience presenting and interfacing with customers and program leadership
+ Strong working knowledge of S1000D data development
+ Experience mentoring new hires and encouraging employee engagement
+ Prior experience with military programs
+ Active Secret clearance
