Job summary
The French Customer Experience team on Amazon Canada is obsessed over delivering the best shopping experience for French-Canadian customers and the most productive selling experience for our French-Canadian selling partners. The team develops products and features in a wide variety of domains including Amazon.ca storefront, product discovery and purchasing experience, shipping and delivery experience, and various services that help selling partners.

The French Customer Experience team is looking for a talented Manager, Product Management to help develop and grow our French Language/Quebec business, a strategic focus for the marketplace. This role will own key aspects of the French-speaking customer experience, including onsite customer journey, product attribute details and images, and marketing optimization. You will be responsible for driving cross-functional development activities, including new technical solutions, and identifying process improvements for this unique business opportunity. This role can be located in Seattle, Arlington, Austin, Nashville, and Toronto.

As Manager, Product Management, you will possess a successful product management and business strategy background. This role will require excellent written and oral communication skills, data-driven analyses and insights, excellent business judgment, strong interpersonal skills to influence broad stakeholder groups, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for building excellent products and customer experiences. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial, cross-functional environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse set of stakeholders and senior leaders across Amazon to develop and implement innovative solutions for French speaking customers.


Key job responsibilities
€¢ Lead the development and implementation of high-quality product roadmaps toward the team's strategy and vision
€¢ Collaborate with Marketing, Prime, Deals, Technology/Engineering, Vendor Management, Seller Support, Legal, Public Policy, and Public Relations teams (among others) to assess and advise on high judgment investment decisions
€¢ Develop product and solution requirements, working backwards from the customer.
€¢ Establish customer feedback loops to synthesize feedback and consolidate feature requests, providing specific requirements to engineering and driving follow-up actions and communications
€¢ Manage delivery of current products concurrently with future product planning
€¢ Collaborating regularly and independently with other product and tech teams to transfer knowledge of the customer needs and ensure the technical solution designed solves for customer and business needs
€¢ Making trade-off decisions with the tech team regarding features and priorities within the roadmap based on overall relative impact and speed to market
€¢ Leading and developing a team of Sr Product Managers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • Proven analytical skills, high excel proficiency, and strong process improvement skills
  • Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects: work prioritization, planning, task delegation and hitting deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
  • Strong writing and speaking skill

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluency in French (ability to audit translations)
  • Proven track record of customer obsession
  • Ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment
