**A Dayin the Life**


This position is in the Boston, MA Seaport District; as theSoftware Engineering Manager for Robotic
Software Integration and Emulation


**You will:**


+ Lead a team to define and refine frameworksto drive a planned, automated integration of software subsystems.

+ Lead the development of emulatorsand simulators of robotic software subsystems to support testing softwareat the interfaces.

+ Digest and improve system andsoftware interface specifications, designs and implementations.

+ Drive software improvements andincreased reliability by exploring corner-cases, uncovering designweaknesses and improving the software with defect correction and redesign.

+ Participate in sprint planningand execution to plan and drive work to completion.

+ Work with a tools team to createa complete set of software integration software and support the reuse ofintegration concepts by the verification team.

+ Collaborate with the Systems,Electrical and Mechanical teams on key performance specifications whichimpact the integration.

+ Work with PMO planning scheduleand deliverable timelines

+ Ensure design deliverables alignwith the software architecture

+ Manage the careers of your team.

+ Recruit and retain talent.


**Must haves: Minimum requirements** :


+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanceddegree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience


**Nice to haves:**


+ A Bachelors Degree in atechnical discipline and 10+ years of relevant software experience.

+ Experience leading small tomedium size software development teams.

+ Experience delivering multi-processorsoftware systems.

+ Understand the needs involved indeveloping safety critical software for regulated industries.

+ Understand COTS/SOUP implicationswhen using off the shelf operating systems, middleware, and networkingprotocols.

+ Have a strong understanding ofsoftware development methodologies and the ability to work with thesystems teams on requirements definition.

+ Strong leadership abilities.

+ **Solid design and architectureskills.**

+ Experience performing riskmanagement of embedded software ideally using SW FMEA techniques.

+ Experience programmingmultiprocessor medical devices.

+ Experience with softwareinfrastructure development to support data logging, network communication,process management, safety implementation, software installation, networkconfiguration as well as working with build and continuous integrationteams.

+ Strong C++ skills.

+ Good understanding of 62304 andregulated will defined SDLC.

+ Experience in FDA regulatedsoftware delivery.


**Working Conditions:**

Standard
Office setting in South Boston.Some
limited travel may be required.
