Job summary

AWS Marketing is seeking a results-oriented marketing Manager of Digital Marketing to lead a team of marketers to plan and execute marketing campaigns, programs, and content to drive customer engagement with AWS's inbound web-based marketing channels, including the main AWS website, aws.amazon.com. In addition to managing the team, this leader will also be responsible for the team's strategy, charter, , and will drive the strategy, management, measurement, testing, and execution of marketing content to help AWS customers find the cloud computing products and services they need to transform their businesses.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize and plan the execution of strategic marketing initiatives to acquire, nurture, and convert leads on aws.amazon.com
  • Lead a team responsible for conceptualizing, building, and executing marketing plans, including creative development, targeting segmentation, and campaign performance analysis
  • Develop, own and track organizational goals, as defined through Operational Planning (OP) process. Communicate progress and work with teams with dependent programs. Ensure delivery of assigned organizational goals. Schedule and secure resources and manage cross-functional teams to deliver to these goals.
  • Establish, refine and implement mechanisms to ensure cross functional alignment and establish clear escalation mechanisms. Identify and manage stakeholder groups, and provide regular business reports to those groups.
  • Manage relationships with executive stakeholders and provide them with regular business updates.

  • BA/BS required or equivalent related experience
  • 5+ years developing and managing marketing programs and/or channel programs and demonstrated success in creating professional, compelling and generation strategies
  • 5+ years of marketing communications experience
  • 5+ years experience hiring and developing high caliber teams; proven ability to recruit, manage, develop, and retain a high-performing team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment


  • Graduate degree in a relevant field, or equivalent related experience
  • Experience with and understanding of the cloud computing landscape.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, Adobe Test & Target.
  • Experience in data analytics: SQL, Excel, Tableau.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with CRM marketing systems
  • Strong sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple channels and marketing vehicles
  • Highly developed and polished written and verbal communication skills.

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $76k -134k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
