KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Resource Management to join our Business Tax Services organization.


+ Develop and implement holistic onboarding and staffing strategies for a Service Network or Business Unit and deploy resources to engagements, in a manner that aligns skills with engagement demands to optimize productivity while maintaining a reasonable workload; align staff with resources along with career interests to foster skill development; resolve complex conflicts and find solutions for open positions through strategic decisions and escalate issues to Associate Director or Director as necessary

+ Supervise and develop resource management team staff by providing guidance, training and coaching; fulfill additional people management responsibilities, if applicable

+ Provide accurate and timely report analysis on a weekly and monthly basis as related to projected/actual hours, utilization and headcount at both an organizational level and detailed level for practice employees; monitor over and under-utilized individuals and develop actions to balance workloads; may assist Associate Director or Director with financial planning process

+ Understand and monitor training and credential requirements of practice employees and implement actions to meet those requirements as necessary

+ Manage practice-wide strategic initiatives and projects in support of resource management strategy; maintain an awareness of the business and regulatory environment and related priorities and impact on resourcing needs

+ Demonstrate proficiency in the KPMG resource management system and tools


+ Minimum five years experience in one or more business related areas including Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Resource Management or general business operations or equivalent experience

+ Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups and complex formulas

+ Ability to develop and foster strong relationships and team with various levels within and outside an organization; strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills

+ Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, analytical and diagnostic skills

+ Being able to manage multiple priorities concurrently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
