Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs). Facilities construction manager responsibilities include: cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract. Ensures that facilities construction activities are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules.

Monitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, on-going operational tasks of organizational groups.

Supervises employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and/or general maintenance. Sets priorities and performs forecasting and allocates the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees. Meets the minimum requirements of executive exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

**Basic Qualifications:**

High School diploma/GED with 5 years of facilities maintenance management, project or program management experience. 2 years of leadership experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to communicate and present to various levels of leadership. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance and program access.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

5 years of leadership experience. Experience working in a manufacturing facilities environment. Strong background in construction management, facilities maintenance and repair. MS Project Experience Experience achieving organizational objectives, goals, and metrics. Previous or current experience using building management systems, maintenance management systems, or similar maintenance tracking systems. Current active DOD secret or top secret clearance.
