Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Capture Manager to join our team of business development professionals in the Payloads and Ground Division. The capture manager position is available in Linthicum, MD. Relocation is possible, but not guaranteed.

The Capture Manager will work in support of the Business Development team to provide capture leadership for space payload and ground pursuits - to include mission and concept development, Electro-Optical/Infra-Red, Radar, SIGINT, and On-board Processing for payloads, and enabling technologies. Customers may include NASA, AFRL, NRL, DARPA, SDA, Space RCO, and Classified customers. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, translating NG capabilities and solutions into offerings, and managing a portfolio of captures and proposal efforts while seeking to influence customer acquisition strategies.

The successful capture manager candidate will assist in managing a pipeline of opportunities, managing customer messaging and shaping plans, influencing internal investment decisions, ensuring readiness for proposals, and supporting proposal development. Candidates may elect in the future to stay in capture role, or rotate into program manager or permanent Business Development positions.

The successful candidate will lead in the development of capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Maintains on-going interaction with business development and executive leadership.

Ideal candidates for this position will be excellent at written and oral communications, possess a strong ability to establish and develop inter-personal relationships, have a substantial business development background, be strong leaders, and bring some combination of the following: sensor technology (EO/IR, RF, or Processing); Battle management C2 expertise; program management; technology development; capture and proposal; and a history of working closely with organizations such as SMC, AFSPC, AFRL, NRL, DARPA, SDA, Space RCO, or Classified customers

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree
+ 7 years' of related experience including experience in engineering, business development, program management, capture and/or proposals
+ 4 years of leadership/management experience
+ Familiarity with DoD or space satellite customers for acquisition or operations
+ Must possess an active Top Secret clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience leading captures of at least $50M
+ Demonstrated technical expertise in the development of space payloads (EO/IR, RF, or Processing). Battle management C2 expertise
+ Experience with satellite ground control and mission management systems. Program management, technology development, capture and proposal
+ History of working closely with organizations such as SMC, AFSPC, AFRL, NRL, DARPA, SDA, Space RCO, or Classified customers
+ Current TS/SCI with polygraph
