**A Day in the Life**


The Managed Equipment Services Engineer will manage all
activities related to the Equipment setup, in close coordination and
collaboration with the Architects part of the Turn-Key department, of core hospital
departments for IHS (CathLabs, ORs, ICUs, CCUs, etc.), including assessment,
planning, procurement, installation and ongoing maintenance of capital
equipment for these departments, under the managed services model.


As Managed Equipment Services Engineer you will
collaborate with Medtronic, NGC, customer and stakeholders to manage the
end-to-end project to equip and maintain a state-of-the-art hospital department.
The Engineer will manage all the Equipment projects across all stages of
discussion/completion and continue to manage the ongoing maintenance of
Labs/ORs in order to ensure hospital departments can always provide
high-quality clinical care.


Your main responsibilities will involve:


+ Contribute to sales withthe Business Development Manager and consultants

+ Planning of the medicalequipment and calculation of the costs of a specific assignment / project

+ Collaborate with IHScommercial team as well as hospital stakeholders to produce an optimalequipment plan

+ Manage projects fromequipment point of view for Hospital Solutions accounts, ensuring fulfillmentof quality requirements and timelines as dictated in tenders/contracts

+ Partner withinternal/external architects/engineers for turnkey setup planning and execution

+ Conduct Local MarketResearch on Capital Equipment and gather supplier technical information

+ Create a complete assetinventory and/or plan with a review of all existing maintenance arrangements

+ Validate or set-up amultiyear maintenance plan and service level agreement

+ Manage the procurement,installation, testing, commissioning and training of/for capital equipmentnecessary for Hospital Solutions accounts EMEA wide

+ Prepare and produce genericspecs. Pre-qualify suppliers. Sent out RFI and RFQ to suppliers. ReviewProposals and Prepare Capital Equipment Proposal Summary Reports.

+ Manage the equipment andmaintenance contract procurement/negotiation for projects

+ Partner with commercialand tender teams to draft and submit tender bids

+ Maintain the smoothinstallation of the equipment, the technical testing, and the training ofclinical staff in order to ensure a fully functional department according tocustomer contracts by monitoring the OEMs

+ Collaborate and managerelationships with regional sales contacts at all capital equipment vendors toensure on-time delivery and proper ongoing maintenance of capital equipment

+ Cost tracking and servicecontract management. Advice and prepare equipment renewal plan

+ Ensure Labs/ORs uptimethrough capital equipment maintenance across entire portfolio of the EMEAaccounts, overseeing a team working with OEM maintenance, internal maintenance,and internal customer service staff

+ Manage the de-installationprocess, managing re-marketing or disposal of used equipment.


**Must Haves**


+ Biomedical Engineering or equivalent technical universitydegree

+ Min 7+ years of experience in equipment and medical sector(hospital) with experience in capital equipment management and planning

+ Minimum 5+ years of international experience

+ Experience in CathLabs (CLs) and Operation Rooms (ORs)

+ Demonstrated experience managing project design,cost/budget, scope, schedule, and resources

+ Experience in coordinating Turnkey Hospitals projects

+ Experience in technology assessing and planning for thediverse hospital departments

+ Experience or familiarity to the service and maintenanceof the equipment

+ Experience in project management and reporting

+ Strong knowledge of principles and techniques of carryingout Healthcare Facilities assessments

+ Problem solving attitude andresults orientation. Capability to analyze problems, identify alternativesolutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendationsin support of goals

+ Oversee and participate in thecompilation of data, maintenance of records and files, and the preparation ofclear and concise administrative and technical reports

+ Self-starter, with a strongability to work without very close supervision in a high-pressure environment

+ Software Skills: MS Office; MSProject

+ Fluent English

+ Strong interpersonal skills andability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relationswith people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity andrespect for diversity.


**Niceto Haves**


+ Registration of a recognized Professional Board is highlydesirable

+ Certification in Project Management will be an advantage

+ Working Knowledge of Italian,French, Spanish, German, Dutch or Arabic is a plus

+ Proven track record in technicaladvice and management of capital equipment, preferable in the field of cardiologyand surgery and Medical IT

+ Experience working within amulti-national team

+ Strong communication skills

+ Strong customer focus

+ Commercial acumen

+ Navigation skills underuncertainty

+ Organization oriented withtechnical imprint


**Willingnessto travel in Europe (20-30%)**
