Job Description

The Logistics Operations Manager works in support of the US FAB factories and/or other Business units that are customers of Customer Fulfillment, Planning and Logistics Group (CPLG) / Global Logistics Operations (GLO). The person will be responsible for the storage or movement of inbound, and outbound material, equipment, and chemicals. Develops and implements control systems to move material in a timely and cost-effective manner. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Proficiency in logistics and supply chain processes and work independently to drive results are key requirements to be successful in this role.

The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Gather cost/financial data and synthesize it for a report out to stakeholders.
  • Communicate with both tactical/technical team players but also communicate laterally (partner groups) and upward to management.
  • Identify and set your work priorities.
  • Work with data - that is, to see patterns and trends and to draw meaningful conclusions from them. 
  • Work in a demanding and fast-changing environment, demonstrate speedy decision-making to meet aggressive deadlines and drive effective communication with senior stakeholders.

    You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical discipline (Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or closely related).

    A minimum of 4 years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

    • Transportation Management, specific to chemical hazmat products and/or ocean transportation.
    • The global environment with a proven track record of working in Logistics or other supply chain groups.
    • Inventory Level Management (Day of Inventory).
    • Supporting or directly working with Factory stakeholders.
    • Supplier Management, with a proven track record of driving supplier performance improvements
    • Project management or team leadership roles that required advanced communication and facilitation skills.
    • Working efficiently in a virtual environment with multiple sites/geos.
    • Lean / Six Sigma certification.
    • Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Team, Skype.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ocean transportation and/or chemical handling.
