Key job responsibilities

Under the supervision of the VP Loan/Lease Accounting perform a variety of Capital Markets accounting functions including, but not limited to:

Process monetary activity on purchased and sold loan participation transactions

Create notices to other financial institution participants for participation transactions

Record new loan participations in accounting system

Process maintenance and approved change requests to loan records in accounting and loan origination systems

Perform periodic review of participation system data integrity

Respond to loan participants, lead lenders, or credit staff inquiries

Provide support for internal and external audits

Perform back-up functions within the department as needed

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Solid working knowledge of accounting principles.

Ability to recognize potential problems and solve or escalate accordingly

Strong organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail

Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities

Strong analytical thinker

Solid computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel, as well as experience using accounting software systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
