This position will be primarily responsible for administration of Operating System and Hypervisors. This job is part of the Enterprise Systems and Applications Operations team and includes day to day management of Hypervisors (VMWare) and Operating Systems (Linux and Windows). Responsible for currency and patching as well. This person is also responsible in making improvements to the existing systems to operate them in an optimized manner and or to improve the reliability and availability. Also responsible for participating in Disaster Recovery exercises on regular basis. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot performance issues related to virtualized work-loads. 
  • Accountable for OS roadmaps w.r.t Enterprise Applications (good to have SAP background). 
  • Work with Hyper Converged Infrastructure Services platforms like Nutanix and Dell Flex OS to create the strategy/direction for SAP infrastructure. 
  • Facilitate moving of work-loads to/from on-prem cloud to off-prem cloud. 
  • Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues. 
  • The ability to partner with rest of IT teams, suppliers, business customers, on cross-functional projects, and process improvements
  • The ability to translate business issues / requirements and objectives into technical solutions
  • The ability to be a change agent and promote positive change in the organization
  • Travel Approximately 15%


    • Minimum of 10 years of Operating Systems and or Hypervisor administration experience required.
    • 10+ years of Linux experience
    • US Citizenship

      • Window OS experience
      • Storage management experience
      • Experience with Installation, Racking & Stacking of Hardware
      • Six Sigma DFSS Greenbelt certification or Black Belt Preferred
      • Networking experience is a plus.
      • Experience with supporting SAP operations is a plus.
      • Collaboration experience with Hardware suppliers for repair and maintenance is desirable.
      • Strong knowledge of IT business processes and practices
