Northrop Grumman has an opening for a **level 2 Budget Analyst or a level 3 Principal Budget Analyst** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located **on site** in **El Segundo, California** with **partial telework available** .

**Essential Functions:**

+ Compiles and reviews budgets for corporate or organizational units using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration
+ Prepares financial plans, monitors implementation of financial policies, prepares regular and special-purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and personnel forecasts, recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget

_This position may be filled as either a level 2 Budget Analyst or a level 3 Principal Budget Analyst._

**Basic Qualifications for a Budget Analyst:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration and 3 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree with 1 year of relevant experience
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot tables, macros and V-lookups)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word) and SAP
+ Strong oral and written communication skills

**Basic Qualifications for a Principal Budget Analyst:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration and 6 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot tables, macros and V-lookups)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word) and SAP
+ Strong oral and written communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Knowledge of Business Warehouse (BW)
+ Highly organized
+ Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on team projects
+ Experience working with Tableau

Salary Range: $61,900.00 - $92,900.00Salary Range 2: $76,200.00 - $114,400.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
