Learning Specialist - Professional Development

The Learning Specialist will be responsible for learner support, class logistics, Learning Management System (LMS) class set up and maintenance, roster management, faculty coordination, materials content management, sending program communications to learners, answering learner questions, coordinating technology support, report generation, and developing/maintaining SharePoint/digital repositories sites.


+ Monitor class rosters to identify classes at risk or needing support; communicate status to stakeholders via email daily

+ Support logistics (class set up, security, room reservations, materials) for classes held in North America

+ Order and ensure the physical delivery of materials; electronically for virtual programs

+ Maintain SharePoint site and/or digital repositories (structure/design of folders, pages, lists, subsites, permissions, additional storage)

+ Work with program and content owners to design/maintain/manage LMS communications and requestnew/updated notifications

+ Answer inquiries from learners directly and escalate concerns to the respective teams as appropriate

+ Maintain/manage class rosters in the LMS and distribute to stakeholders as necessary

+ Send program communications from the mailbox including class updates, invitations, reminders, nudges, etc. Use mail merge as necessary.

+ Manage and follow up on pre-class surveys and other pre-work

+ Create/maintain / publish class schedules

+ Place technology, entitlement, and product requests for faculty and support personnel

+ Communicate with faculty regarding class schedules and room assignments (virtual and physical)

+ Monitor the mailbox and resolve learner issues prior to and during classes

+ Support learners in the completion of 360-degree assessments

+ Generate completion and evaluation reports

+ Create attendance reports


+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to develop and foster strong relationships and demonstrate interpersonal skills

+ Ability to understand and resolve problems and propose/recommend process improvements/potential solutions

+ Driven for results and strong sense of accountability and follow through

+ Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem resolution skills

+ Capable of performing effectively and independently in complex situations with limited supervision

+ Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization and time management skills

+ Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving and changing priorities; remain resilient, positive and flexible
