How will you make an impact?

  • Provide in-lab leadership to a team of laboratory staff performing media and buffer operations for Research, Quality and Process Development
  • Share technical expertise with peers and provide training and guidance to others
  • Drive excellence in the day-to-day operations of the Media Sciences program through efficient workload scheduling, project assignments, and technical writing of laboratory procedures
  • Ensure laboratory compliance and customer satisfaction
  • Champion innovation and practical process improvement in the laboratory

What will you do?

  • Perform tasks associated with media and buffer preparation operations (e.g. small and large-scale media, calculations, aseptic technique, chemical inventory, pH titration, aliquots, sterile filtration, osmolality adjustment, use of standard laboratory equipment, troubleshooting, cell culture media, and GxP operations)
  • Collaborate with management, respond to client requests, and support cross-functional issues
  • Support the management team through reporting of business metrics and monitoring of team productivity
  • Perform area audits and participate in audit readiness exercises

How will you get here?

Education

BachelorĂ¢€™s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of two-year degree and experience

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting; experience in GLP/GMP environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working in teams; leadership experience preferred
  • Scientific skillset with a background in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology or related field
  • Proven excellence in process improvement

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Analytical and critical thinking ability; Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Focus on laboratory safety and GXP compliance, including audit preparedness
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, Teams)
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Working conditions include extensive walking/standing, ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds consistently, and ability to work with carcinogenic, mutagenic, and irritant classified chemicals
